I felt something was blocking me but just couldn’t find any explanation until I came across your website and the article about “Shadow Work “. I thought I had got over the negative issues I had experienced as a child but reading this article made me realize I had buried the memories and that they were still there deep inside me. Why Shadow Work?

Shadow Work is one of the most genuine and powerful paths towards healing, integration, wholeness, and spiritual illumination.

Simply following the path of "love and light" will not heal you of your wounds. Putting a sparkly, feel-good band-aid over everything negative within you won't make it go away. In order to ascend, we must first descend.

When doing Shadow Work, we explore everything that makes us feel fearful, angry, sad, hateful, jealous, and guilt-ridden in order to integrate and release it. Only through Shadow Work can we become free to heal, forgive, love, grow, and transform.

The Shadow Work Journal is a good guide for people who are on their path to know themselves in a deeper and honest manner. The aspects of golden shadows piqued my interest and despite completing the guide, I still like to ponder on golden shadows when I need to.

Me and my brother started with the Inner Child then continued on with the Self Love Journal. We are almost finished with the Shadow Journal. We have worked on all 3 together as we had grown up in a very toxic environment and can relate to each other’s unresolved issues. These books have been truly life changing. Alot of “aha” moments. We discuss after every entry and help each other figure out things that we feel might be blocking us. It won’t fix everything, you have to put in the work even after you have completed the workbooks, but it has helped us on our spiritual and healing journey tremendously. We view ourselves in a different light now and have learned to love ourselves and rid ourselves of the toxicity and self-loathing. We are still a work in progress, but this has been a major part of our “toolbox” for growth and forgiveness. Thank you so much for spreading your wisdom and guidance to so many people. We now have empathy and compassion for those who are angry or lost. We often say “I wonder what’s going on with their inner child”

I love the though provoking questions. This work is hard and important. I just wish that it was an actual printed journal rather than a journal that I printed. Just doesn’t hold the same feeling to have something I have printed out. 🙁
